Don't you ever give up on your Dream! Even when it feels like you should.

I want you to think for a moment about an old, important goal of yours. It can be as small as a wooden, toy car or as big as a handmade boat. Did you happen to give up on it, and if so, why? Why did you give up on it? Was it not important? No time? What happened? What I can tell you is that there is almost no excuse for you giving up on your dream. If it was really important, you would be working on it every day.

Let me make something clear, I don't want to seem rude, nor belittle those who have personal reasons for not wanting to complete their projects. That being said, I feel like anyone on this planet can achieve their dream if they work hard at it, however, it seems that many feel that they can't do it. Some think that everything has been done and there's nothing more to make. Others think that it's too much of a time investment, and their dream takes up too much of their life. Some are just afraid of failure. But to that I ask, why is that stopping you?

You know for a fact that everything hasn't been invented yet. Each month you're bound to see at least one new product or piece of technology that you didn't know existed. New shops are being made, specializing in practices like a unique way to create homemade cakes and other delicacies. You even see advances in science such as further development into curing diseases that were thought to once be incurable.

Do you plan to use lack of time as an excuse? Why I'd say that you're wasting time by not following your dream! Let's say that someone's dream project were to take 10 years to complete. However, 10 years pass and that person still hasn't worked on their dream. Not even a sketch in a book. I'd argue that said person would've been done with their work had they started 10 years ago. And what about you? Are you going to let that head-start leave your grasp, or are you going to seize it and get started early?

Finally, for the fear of failure, well... that's understandable. You are only human, and you will never do everything in one try. The Wright Brothers, for example, took 4 years to create the airplane, going through failure after failure, crash after crash. Even when they thought that they were close to perfecting the airplane, the still had their fair share of failures. You have to understand that failure is a part of life, and that it's okay to fail. Each failure will be a new experience and will teach you of what not to do. Let's say you have a special pie recipe using certain fruits. Problem is that it's too sweet and you just can't figure our how to lose sweetness while also keeping the fruits. That's failure one. Now it's up to you to figure out what to do. You could change the quantities of the fruits, add vinegar, salt, or perhaps add a more bitter fruit to the current ones. You would fail at this recipe over and over, but you will eventually get the recipe figured out because you kept at it and used each failure as a teaching point for the next try.

Before we end this discussion, I have one more question. What are you going to do now? Are you going to do nothing and let your dream die, or work on your dream and make it a reality? If you plan to do nothing, then that's understandable. You may have current responsibilities that could be in jeopardy if you start to follow your passion now. If you cannot follow your dream, there is nothing to be ashamed about, as some dreams just can't be achieved. However, for those that plan to continue and work on their dream, I have high hopes. I don't know who you are, but I believe in you! You are never to old to start learning, and you are never too young to take a head-start. Even as you learn, you are undoubtedly going to have some problems here and there, but that shouldn't be enough to stop you. Failure is the greatest teacher and I know in my heart that you have what it takes to complete your dream. You can do it, so just do it!
